Q. What is microcement and why use it in pools?

Q. Will I need tiles along the waterline?
If tiles are part of you pool vision, our team are happy to make that come to life! However microcement (unlike other pool finishings like quarts plaster) does not require tiles at the waterline.

Q. Can microcement be applied over my existing pool?
Yes - we can apply microcement over most pool surfaces, including concrete, tiles, and old plaster, after the substrate is properly prepared. Just not fibreglass pools.

Q. How long does a microcement pool last?
With proper care and maintenance, microcement finishes applied by professionals typically last 20 years.

Q. How long does the application process take?
Application generally takes several days to a week, depending on the pool size and complexity, including surface preparation and curing time. Time also differs if it is a new build vs. a restoration. Time may vary if we are doing just the inner pool resurfacing or if we are doing a full pool renovation including coping and surrounds. Restoration times may vary if there are dmanages requiring fixing such as leaks or rust in old surfacing.

Absolutely - microcement comes in a wide range of colors, textures, and finishes, allowing you to create a truly custom pool design.

Q. How much maintenance does a microcement pool require?
Maintenance is relatively low. Regular pool cleaning and balanced water chemistry are all that’s needed to keep the surface looking great.

Q. Can microcement fix cracks in my concrete pool?
Minor surface imperfections can be smoothed over during the microcement application, but major structural issues should be addressed before resurfacing.
